HELP YOUR COMMUNITY! VOLUNTEER!

Would you like to make your time count, make friends, and make a positive difference in your community? You can by becoming a volunteer for the Southampton Fire Company #1.

The Southampton Fire Company #1 answers an average of 400-500 emergency calls a year and its volunteers put in thousands of additional hours in training, committee, and community service work. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, and are needed for service in both firefighting and non-firefighting roles:

Firefighting: We are looking for people who are interested in becoming part of our firefighting squad. No previous experience is needed. You will be fully trained and equipped.

Fire Police: We are also looking for members for our police squad with duties that include traffic and crowd control at fires and other emergency situations. No previous experience is required. You will be instructed in traffic and crowd control techniques and be sworn in as a fire police officer.

Non-Responding Positions: For those not interested in "responding" positions there are a number of other opportunities as a member of one of our committees. Your experience would be a valuable asset to such committees as budget planing, facilities management, computer systems, fire prevention, membership, and many others.

All the positions listed above have full membership benefits in the Southampton Fire Company #1.

We need you! If you would like to learn more about volunteer opportunities with the Southampton Fire Company #1, please call 215.357.6353 or stop by the Firehouse at 925 Street Road any Monday evening after 7 P.M. and ask for Mike Malloy.
