Southampton Fire Co. No. 1 Presents Awards at Fire Company's Annual Banquet The Southampton Fire Co. No. 1 recently honored three of its members at the fire company's Annual Awards Banquet. Chief Glenn McKenney and President Joe Reaney presented the awards to the recipients. Bill Martin was named 2001 Firefighter of the Year for his activities on the Fire Prevention Committee and his involvement in training. He was also recognized for the high number of fire calls that he responded to during the past year. Harold Card was presented with the President's Award for his many years of service as the Chairman of the Fire Prevention Committee and the outstanding presentations he has given at all of the schools in the township. Carmen Conicelli, Jr. was named Junior Firefighter of the Year for his activity level and for developing and implementing a program to mark all of the fire hydrants in the township. These markers allow the fire department to locate the hydrant easier during the day and night.
