Meeting Minutes: October 8, 2004
The October 8, 2004 meeting of the Upper Southampton Township Historical Advisory Board was called to order at 8:40 a.m. at the Township Building. Board members present were Mr. Day, Mr. Donahue, Mr. Gardocki, and Mr. Vogel; also attending was Mrs. Brager.
Approval of the minutes of the Board's September 10 meeting was moved by Mr. Donahue and seconded by Mr. Gardocki.
Mr. Day reported on problems encountered in the use of CDBG money. Although the administrator of the program in Doylestown felt that it would not take too long before we could begin spending the money, there was no firm date. Mr. Vogel reported reported that he had been in contact with PECO and that the installation of electric service at the Dry Goods Store should happen within eight weeks. Mr. Day will speak with the Public Works Department to request that a trench be dug to lay the cable before that date.
Mr. Vogel, as requested by SEPTA, has obtained signed releases from everyone who will be involved in repairs to the train station. Mr. Donahue suggested that we approach Strathman's for a donation of money or materials for the project.
Mr. Day will speak with Mr. Sabol concerning our budget request for next year.
Mr. Vogel will attempt to scan a series of vintage slides (loaned by Clara Dungan) for the Board's collection.
Mr. Gardocki noted that mail from the township addressed to him is still being sent to the wrong address.
At 9:10 a.m. Mr. Gardocki moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Mr. Vogel.
Respectfully submitted by,
James Day
