Upper Southampton Township Finances

Meeting Minutes: November 14, 2003

The November 14, 2003 meeting of the Upper Southampton Township Historical Advisory Board was called to order at 8:45 a.m. at the Township Building. Board members present were Mr. Day, Mr. Donahue, and Mr. Vogel. Also attending was Mrs. Brager.

Approval of the minutes of the Board's October 10 meeting was moved by Mr. Vogel and seconded by Mr. Donahue.

Mr. Vogel reported that he has received an estimate for replastering the interior of the Dry Goods Store. He expects someone to visit the site tomorrow to prepare an estimate for heating and air-conditioning.

Mr. Day and Mr. Donahue reported on their research at the PA Historical Society concerning the papers of John Fitch. Mr. Day will pursue getting a copy of the minutes of the American Philosophical Society reporting Fitch's presentation to that body on September 27, 1785.

The scanner which Mr. Vogel has offered to donate meets Arcadia's requirements for quality of reproduction. We can upload any needed software.

Mr. Vogel reported on the meeting of the Park, recreation, and Open Space Board. Their next meeting is scheduled for December 11.

It was agreed that announcing Board vacancies on the Twosnhip web-site would be a good way of reaching people potentially interested in serving.

At 9:25 a.m. Mr. Donahue moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Mr. Vogel.
