Upper Southampton Township Finances

Meeting Minutes: December 12, 2003

The December 12, 2003 meeting of the Upper Southampton Township Historical Advisory Board was called to order at 8:40 a.m. at the Township Building. Board members present were Mr. Day, Mr. Donahue, and Mr. Vogel. Also attending was Mrs. Brager.

Approval of the minutes of the Board's November 14 meeting was moved by Mr. Vogel and seconded by Mr. Donahue.

Mr. Vogel reported that he has received an estimate for the installation of heating and air-conditioning at the Dry Goods Store. He will use this information in preparing specifications for the work. Seeking bids for these systems will be given first priority. He will also get a firm price for the materials needed for an electrical hook-up. Mr. Donahue moved "that funds remaining in the HAB's 2003 budget be used to pay for the materials necessary for hooking up electrical service." The motion was seconded by Mr. Vogel and passed unanimously.

No response has been received as yet from SEPTA regarding repairs to the train station and a possible lease agreement. Mr. Day will discuss this with Mr. Golden.

Mr. Vogel reported on the December 11 meeting of the Park, Recreation and Open Space Board. The process of selecting a consultant is moving forward. Someone from the HAB will be added to the list of "key person interviews" that will be conducted as part of the study.

Mrs. Brager pointed out the Board vacancies are still not being announced on the Township web site. Mr. Day will ask Mr. Sabol to correct this.

Mr. Vogel will hook up the scanner immediately after the meeting.

At 9:10 a.m. Mr. Donahue moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Mr. Vogel.
