TRASH, RECYCLING AND YARD WASTE PROGRAM AND HOLIDAY COLLECTIONS

Trash, Recycling and Yard Waste Program went into effect today, May 1, 2012.  This means that your schedule is now as follows:

• Regular Household Trash – Friday pick up
• Recycling – Friday pick up
• Yard Waste – Monday pick up

EXCEPT FOR HOLIDAYS....

There are six holidays during the year that change your collection day (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.)  When these holidays occur, trash, recycling and yard waste collection for the entire week of the holiday will be pushed back one day.  For example, Memorial day falls on Monday - therefore, trash, recycling and yeard waste collections scheduled for that day gets picked up on Tuesday, Tuesday collections gets picked up on Wednesday, Wednesday collections gets picked up on Thursday, Thursday collections gets picked up on Friday, and Friday collections gets picked up on Saturday -- this would be in effect for that specific week only.
